We are pleased to share our second full year’s accounts & annual report (2025-26). In this last year, we reached over 400 people at 50 sessions of cookery classes and other food activities for local people in need – many sessions take place at the Community Kitchen cookery school in central Brighton. We particularly supported people living with poor mental and/or physical health, and those living in poverty and isolation.

Those attending our sessions told us we made a big difference. For example:

  • 68% feel more connected to other people
  • 66% more confident to follow a recipe
  • 41% learned about other services & activities
  • 70% tried new foods
  • 50% picked up a tip on reducing food waste

You can also view our AGM presentation sharing photos & more stories from our last year (pdf).

“I would 100% recommend these activities as they connect you more with people.”

“A warm friendly environment. Meet new people, acquire better prep skills & take away lovely food to eat at
home, and more confidence!”

We’re looking forward to the next year ahead. Thank you from all our team of trustees, volunteers and session leaders.
